Welcome to TeachMeet North West

 

Friday 2nd October, 2009 5pm-10pm, Classroom of the 21stCC, Salford

 

Inspired by the successes and creativity of Teachmeets around the country, it occurred to me that it was a crying shame that there wasn't a Teachmeet around the northwest.   Therefore I've decided to see what interest there is in the idea and how we could go about sorting one out.

 

To start with I just need to see what sorts of numbers of people are interested in sharing their ideas. this link

21CC Salford is in the grounds of Moorside High School which is situated on the A580 East Lancashire Road.

 

 

By Train:

Moorside Train Station (turn right down Moorside Road, at junction turn left and then take subway underneath dual carriageway.Turn left through Moorside High School gates and then continue right into 21CC car park).

By Coach:

From the M60:

Exit at Jct 13, follow signs to Swinton, on Worsley Road turn left on to A580.

From the A580 (Manchester to Liverpool direction):

Pass Premier Lodge Inn, New Ellesmere Pub/Restaurant and Total garage on your left, turn left after garage into Moorside High School gates, and then continue right into 21CC car park.

From the A580 (Liverpool to Manchester direction):

Turn right at lights at Moorside Road, continue to mini roundabout and turn left on to Worsley Road, follow to traffic lights and turn left back onto A580 to come back on the other side of the dual carriageway - follow rest of directions above.

Please do not park on Broadbent Street.

 

 

What is TeachMeet?

 

Learn something new, be amazed, amused and enthused. This is an informal gathering of those curious about teaching and technology. Anyone can share great ideas they've trialled in their classrooms, ask important questions  or simply sign up to take part in learning conversations.

 

What can you do?

 

You can come along to chat, meet new people, or give a seven minute talk, a two minute nano presentation or lead a conversation.
